What is the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal?
The Archbishop’s Appeal is an annual fund-raising campaign conducted by the Archdiocese. Its goal is to raise funds to support the Catholic mission.
The Appeal gives Catholics the chance to look beyond the boundaries of their own parish towards the larger needs of the people of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain.
How will our Archbishop’s Annual Appeal contribution be used?
•
Cathedral Project – 80%
• Other capital projects, including churches and other parish buildings – 17%
• Administration – 3%
How will the Annual Appeal work?
Every Catholic family or individual is asked to make a gift to support the work of the Church. These gifts will provide the necessary resources for programmes, services and capital projects to our parishes, which shape the lives of individuals and communities throughout the Archdiocese.
When will the 2010 Annual Appeal be launched?
The formal launch of the Appeal will take place on October 18, 2010, but contributions can be made at any time. See Ways to Give. The first year of the Archbishop’s Appeal will close on October 17, 2011.
